Your Training
Knowledge Development
You’ll begin with PADI’s digital learning, allowing you to complete the knowledge-development portion of your training at your own pace.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of scuba diving alongside the additional knowledge required to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit.
Confined Water Training
Next, we move into the pool where you’ll learn and practise the essential skills required to become a safe and confident diver. You will be required to complete 5 confined dives (in the pool), one of which will include your dry suit orientation, taken across 3 pool sessions.
Our pool sessions are currently held on the 1st, 3rd & 4th Sunday of the month at:
📍Poynton Leisure Centre, SK12 1PU
⏰3pm
Alongside your core Open Water skills, we introduce and develop your dry-suit skills, including:
● Correct dry suit use and fitting
● Weighting and buoyancy control
● Using the dry suit inflator and exhaust valves
● Managing air movement within the suit
● Controlled descents and ascents
● Dealing with potential dry suit problems and emergency situations
You’ll have plenty of opportunity to practise before progressing to open water.
Open Water Training
This is where everything comes together.
Under the supervision of your PADI Instructor, you’ll complete the required qualifying open-water dives and demonstrate the skills you developed during your confined-water training.
Your Dry Suit Diver training is incorporated into the programme, allowing you to complete the requirements for both certifications as part of one structured course.
📍The Delph Watersports Centre, Halfpenny Lane, Eccleston, PR7 5PR
Typically undertaken across a full weekend (Saturday & Sunday) on the 2nd weekend of the month. ⏰ 9am - 5pm
Why Do We Include Dry Suit Diver?
We believe that learning to dive should prepare you for all diving conditions in a safe & comfortable environment. In the UK the water temperatures drop considerably during the Autumn & Winter months & we want you to experience a safe and pleasurable dive experience whatever the temperature.
A standard PADI Open Water certification opens the door to diving around the world. Adding your PADI Dry Suit Diver certification also gives you the training and confidence to explore the fantastic diving available closer to home and in other cooler-water destinations.
Instead of completing your Open Water course and then returning for separate dry-suit training, we combine the two into one comprehensive programme & price.
Your £745 Course Includes TWO PADI Certifications
✓ PADI Open Water Diver
✓ PADI Dry Suit Diver Specialty
One complete course. One inclusive price. Two internationally recognised PADI certifications.
